What Mungo does

Dinners that share ingredients. One list, one shop. Savings from real receipts. A jar that never resets. Change anything, anytime.

How it works

Seven dinners. One shared list.

Your dinners share ingredients, so nothing sits half-used in the fridge. Breakfast, lunch and the extras you always buy go on the same list. Don't fancy a dinner? Swap it.

Why it matters

About a third of the food we buy never gets eaten.

For a family of four, that's around $2,900 a year. Mungo plans the week to use what you buy.

The receipt

Your receipt is the proof.

Snap it after you shop. Mungo compares what you paid with what you usually spend. That difference is your saving — no guesses.

How we count

Plans are estimates. Receipts are facts.

Before you shop

Mungo shows what the week should cost. It's an estimate, so it never goes in your jar.

After you shop

Your receipt shows what it did cost. The difference is your saving, and it goes in the jar.

No receipt? Type the total. Until then, the week stays an estimate.

Dinner

Dinners you'll want to cook.

Real recipes with the time up front — like Greek sheet-pan chicken, 12 minutes hands-on. Breakfast and lunch just go on the list. No extra cooking.

Your call

Change anything before you shop.

Swap a dinner, skip a night, update your preferences, or take off what's still stocked at home. The list updates with you.

The jar

Watch your savings pile up.

Every week you shop with Mungo, what you saved drops into your jar. It never resets. Give it a goal — a trip, a new couch — and watch it fill.

Good questions.

How does Mungo know what I saved?

You tell it what a usual grocery week costs. After you shop, it reads your receipt. The difference is your saving.

What if I forget the receipt?

Type the total, or add the receipt later. Until then, the week counts as an estimate.

Does Mungo plan breakfast and lunch?

Dinners get full recipes. Breakfast, lunch and snacks go straight on the list, and you can pause any of them in one tap.

Where do the prices come from?

Public USDA and Bureau of Labor Statistics data, adjusted for your store. Your savings only ever come from your receipt.

Is Mungo on Android?

Not yet — iPhone only for now.
